Across the country, many dental offices are dropping dental insurance or changing what may or may not be covered in their practice. If your dentist has dropped your insurance, Pillar Dental might be your answer!
We accept most major insurances and work with patients to plan out the best treatment options for their dental health. Our team has learned the ins and outs of many dental insurance plans, so know what your insurance provider will cover.
At Pillar Dental, we don’t focus our treatment on your insurance. Instead, we take a full assessment of your dental needs, and then plan our treatment process. We want to give you the best treatment possible, and not let your insurance determine your treatment plan.
But, knowing what your insurance covers before your appointment can help move the process along more quickly.
There are many types of dental insurance available to patients. This includes Preferred Provider Organizations, or PPO, plans which are fairly common. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), “A PPO plan is regular indemnity insurance combined with a network of dentists under contract to the insurance company to deliver specified services for set fees and according to the provisions of the contract.”
There are also Dental Health Maintenance Organizations/Capitation Plans, Indemnity Plans, Direct Reimbursement, Point of Service Plans, Discount or Referral Plans, Exclusive Provider Organizations, or Table or Schedule Allowances Plans. Read more about each of these insurance options here.
If you have questions about your insurance, the cost of getting dental procedures, or have questions about the other services offered at Pillar Dental, we would be happy to sit down with you and discuss.
